Charissa Bogle, LCSW
About me
As a licensed therapist in Tennessee, I bring 14 years of dedicated experience supporting individuals and couples through complex life challenges. My practice centers on creating a compassionate, affirming space for clients navigating diverse emotional landscapes. I specialize in addressing stress, anxiety, interpersonal/relational connection, trauma recovery, and personal growth.
My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in understanding individual experiences, with particular expertise in supporting LGBTQ+ communities, neurodivergent individuals, and those facing multicultural challenges. I offer a progressive, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore self-love, communication strategies, and healing from past experiences.
I'm committed to helping individuals work through complex emotional terrain—whether you're struggling with social anxiety, processing trauma, managing life transitions, or seeking deeper self-understanding. My goal is to empower you to develop resilience, build meaningful connections, and create positive change in your life.
Much of my training and work experience has been with trauma informed, attachment and emotion regulation models. I am CAIP certified which means I maintain yearly trainings for anxiety-based methods and modalities like Cognitive Processing, TFCBT, Prolonged Exposure, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Individual Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and others.
I also have experience with groups and am a licensed Dialectical Behavioral, Mindfulness, Cognitive Processing/STAIR, PAIRS and Trauma therapist with many years of experience including working with many diverse issues.
My experience working with clients who are on the Autism Spectrum comes from years working as a therapist and RBT using Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Early Denver Systems Model (EDSM), social and play therapy and interpersonal connections for this population.
I have also worked with military and Veteran populations for ten years at the federal level specializing in PTSD and substance abuse treatment.
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

She is the best therapist I've ever had. For the first time, I feel like I'm really doing the deep work I've never been able to access before. And in a safe place, with an experienced and kind professional. Charissa has helped me more than she'll likely ever realize.

Charissa listens and challenges. That’s exactly what I need. She changes me to grow, to be more of who I’m capable of being.

I feel she is doing a great job helping me work through some stressful situations. I feel heard and like I am progressing through things. My husband also told me that he sees an improvement in my mental health from the sessions I have attended.
