Chelcy Babcock, LMHC
About me
Hello! My name is Chelcy Babcock and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of NY. I have been providing therapy for 6 years, and have experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in outpatient mental health and substance abuse disorder settings. My approach to therapy is holistic, interactive, and collaborative. We will work together to develop goals that are a good fit for you, as I believe that each individual faces their own unique experience and challenges in life. In my work with my clients, I strive to assist them in developing a secure sense of personal identity and finding meaning in their lives as we work through challenges together. I am also trained as a yoga instructor and will incorporate breathing techniques, mindfulness, and other yoga-based skills into my typical therapeutic process if the client is interested in working to develop or heal the mind-body connection that can often create emotional discomfort.
