Welcome! I am Chelsea, founder of Mama's Modern Village. I work with women all along their motherhood journey through therapy, coaching and a village of support.
Matrescence is defined as the the dramatic emotional, hormonal and physical changes associated with becoming a mother. The transition to motherhood can rock your world. No matter where you are on your motherhood journey from pre-conception through postpartum and well beyond, becoming a mother is a profound life transition that has lasting implications on a woman's overall well-being. If you are experiencing burn-out, relationship issues, lack of self care, or struggling with your identity since becoming a mom (no matter how many years later); I am here to support you as you navigate this role and its impact on your life.
I am a trained trauma therapist and a certified postpartum doula. I combine evidenced-based practices in collaboration with you to determine the best course of action to inspire change and motivate a new direction in your life. I offer individual therapy for women, couples counseling for expecting/new parents and mama circles.
I strongly believe that it takes a village to raise a mama, just like it takes one to raise a child. I invite you to join our village; a place to be seen and heard in your journey, nurtured, cared for and supported. You aren't alone in your experience (although it so often feels that way).
