Chelsea Winder, LCSW
About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have been providing therapeutic services over the past 7 years. I have worked with clients on a variety of mental health and life struggles such as: depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, parenting issues, and trying to figure out what comes next in life. In addition, I have worked with many teens and adults on their LGBQTAI+ journey of finding, accepting, and loving themselves.
I always want my clients to feel welcome and accepted when working with me. I want clients to feel comfortable because oftentimes they are sharing very personal information and I always want to be respectful of that. I tailor the therapeutic approach that I use based on the needs of the individual client. Therapy is not a one size fits all and I don't believe in getting stuck in one certain therapy type. Some approaches that I draw from are cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, client focused therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. No matter what approach I may use, I always look at my clients with a strengths perspective framework.
