About me

Hello, I’m Cherita Griffin, MS, LPCC-S, NCC, CYT, SEL-F, C-DBT, CMIP, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Endorsement who has spent many years supporting people through mental health challenges.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master’s in Applied Behavioral Analysis, complemented by a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology. This blend gives me a unique lens, combining clinical depth with an understanding of trauma, behavior, and systems that often impact mental health. I’m also a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT), Social Emotional Learning Facilitator (SEL-F), Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (C-DBT), and Certified Mindfulness Informed Professional (CMIP).

Professionally, I’ve worked in community counseling, rehabilitation services, forensic psychology, and behavioral health program development. I’ve provided individual, family, group, and community therapy; supervised clinical teams; and designed/delivered state-wide trainings on trauma-focused CBT, DBT, SEL, and mindfulness. My experience includes crisis intervention, case conceptualization, and compliance in multidisciplinary settings, always with a focus on culturally responsive, strengths-based care.
