About me

My name is Cheryl Ennis. As a counsellor, I endeavour to work with clients to help them understand the mental or emotional issues they are experiencing and work proactively to find the right solutions to bring about positive change.

I am a trained and well-experienced counsellor with an encouraging record of helping clients to overcome barriers to their wellbeing. These include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, grief, anger, low self-esteem, stress and relationship issues. I take a person-centred approach to my counselling as this allows me to build the right atmosphere to help my clients feel at ease to express themselves. I am also effective at using CBT, when necessary, to help my clients acquire tools to combat negative thoughts and their consequences.

I have experience in delivering counselling to clients from a wide age range. Therefore, I can connect well with people no matter how old or young they consider themselves. My goal as their counsellor is to help them discover the source of their concern for them to find a path forward to live a happy and fulfilled life.

I am a registered BACP counsellor. Therefore, I am bound to deliver counselling professionally and ethically.

I am proud to be a counsellor because I feel a sense of accomplishment when I help my clients to discover their true selves and potential. Each time I read my clients' feedback or thank-you cards, it empowers me to continue broadening my knowledge and skills to provide an excellent counselling service.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Cheryl Ennis. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Cheryl is, not only as a therapist, but also as a person, amazing. Her ability to "understand" or better "realise" the challenges that life has thown at her client, is nothing short of incredible. It highlights, that besides the knowledge, she also harbours the compassion in order to bring to the surface the troublesome "issues", work through them, challenge the own doubts, and guide the client on how to deal with them, and turn the weakness into a strength.

I’ve built up a great rapport with Cheryl over the past year - she’s kind and listens carefully to what I have to say. She helps bring a new perspective and challenges my thoughts that are unhelpful while still acknowledging accountability where needed.

We had only 1 conversation but Cheryl was great at putting my mind at ease and talking through my pain points.

Cheryl has been and continues to be me lifeline through a tough year that’s tested me in every way and continues to. My family and kids credit my progress with my mental health and happiness levels to Cheryl. Couldn’t possibly have enough lines to write how great this woman is. Understanding and caring and seems to always know how to bring me back to reality in the way I need at that time. A credit to Better Help

Extremely helpful, has helped me though a lot over the past few months.

Cheryl is incredibly kind and patient, while also being a relentless challenger to my own delusions. I know I'm not the easiest client to work with, but Cheryl would never show it. I highly recommend working with Cheryl if you're not used to being treated with love and it flakes away your big ol suit of armour.
