About me

My name is Cheryl Ennis. As a counsellor, I endeavour to work with clients to help them understand the mental or emotional issues they are experiencing and work proactively to find the right solutions to bring about positive change.

I am a trained and well-experienced counsellor with an encouraging record of helping clients to overcome barriers to their wellbeing. These include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, grief, anger, low self-esteem, stress and relationship issues. I take a person-centred approach to my counselling as this allows me to build the right atmosphere to help my clients feel at ease to express themselves. I am also effective at using CBT, when necessary, to help my clients acquire tools to combat negative thoughts and their consequences.

I have experience in delivering counselling to clients from a wide age range. Therefore, I can connect well with people no matter how old or young they consider themselves. My goal as their counsellor is to help them discover the source of their concern for them to find a path forward to live a happy and fulfilled life.

I am a registered BACP counsellor. Therefore, I am bound to deliver counselling professionally and ethically.

I am proud to be a counsellor because I feel a sense of accomplishment when I help my clients to discover their true selves and potential. Each time I read my clients' feedback or thank-you cards, it empowers me to continue broadening my knowledge and skills to provide an excellent counselling service.

My time spent with Cheryl has always been inspiring. She has helped me go through my issues guiding me along the way as I make improvements in my life. She is patient understanding and calm. She listened to my repeated rambling and never tired from it, sometimes giving me spiritual advices when I needed it. I really couldn’t have done it without her, she was really the best person for me. Thank you so much Cheryl

Cheryl is a wonderful person and a qualified therapist. Before starting our therapy sessions I've been struggling to find a real professional, someone who can hear me, understand what I mean and actually help. When I began therapy, I thought that I had already known everything about myself and the issues I was experiencing, and I just needed advice. Cheryl completely changed my perspective on this: turns out, I had childhood traumas and unresolved conflicts within myself that I hadn't noticed before. It helped me a lot in developing self-esteem, letting go of the pain and moving forward. I was filled with positive energy and motivation after each session. Cheryl can truly find the right approach to everyone and help them overcome any challenges.

Cheryl has been a wonderful therapist, she is very patient, insightful and helpful. Within the first two weeks she helped me to Take control of my panic attacks and anxiety which is something that I have been struggling with for almost 3 years. Other therapists were not able to help me with this the way Cheryl has. Cheryl has been like a friend and has listen to me even when I send her many voice notes. It is evident that Cheryl really cares about her clients and really wants to help others. Cheryl is a kind hearted woman and I am very grateful to have such an amazing therapist, she has taught me so much about myself and I am very thankful for her.

Cheryl is the best therapist that I have worked with. She is understanding, caring and above all, kind. I will miss our sessions together, but I feel that I am a different person now- in the best way possible. Through Cheryl’s teachings I have gathered many tools that will help me problem solve in the future. I cannot recommend Cheryl enough as she is a ray of light in this world.

Cheryl is extremely professional counselor. She regularly checks in with me and is very empathetic. I feel completely comfortable to talk with her and always appreciate her style of keeping a dialogue. Would recommend her highly to anyone who is searching for a therapy which is more conversation based.
