About me

Hello,

My name is Chinell Collins. I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania, and have been providing counseling services to a diverse population for over a decade. I have spent many years working with individuals who suffer from various addictions (drug and alcohol, food, relational, etc.), trauma, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety and adjustment disorder. I also have experience working with couples and families. I enjoy partnering with clients in order to assist them in achieving their personal goals. I am supportive and I am a motivator. Seeing my clients experience a life that brings them happiness and meaning, truly gives me joy. I am excited to walk with you on your personal journey.

My main therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, however, I like to integrate Choice Theory, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered and Positive Psychology techniques as needed. I also utilize Motivational Interviewing.

Aside from my professional experience, I have a lot of volunteer experience working with the homeless population. I partner along side those who feel hopeless and helpless, and not only work with them to achieve their overall goals, but also support them in finding hope and happiness in the process.

I know it can be very difficult to ask for help, but today you can take the first step towards the rest of you life.

Reach out to me today.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Chinell Collins. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Dr. Collins has been wonderful with being able to switch topics and talk about new things that are bothering me, while still incorporating past issues of mine we’ve talked about. She’s been helping connect a lot of dots and connecting issues to other issues that I don’t even realize were connected.

Dr. Collins has been more helpful in the short time I have been with her than I have experienced with other counseling. She is affirming and asks helpful questions that have challenged me to grow and allowed me to face some of my mental health problems. Highly recommend!
