About me

Greetings! I'm Chris, and I am thrilled that you've made this important first step, reaching out. I am here to reach back and support you in your journey. It's ok if you can't fully put into words what it is you want from counselling. Often, people just want "to feel better". I will partner with you to define your goals, and conquer obstacles that are in the way.

I have spent a great deal of my career in counseling those who have a problematic relationship with any drug/alcohol/behavior, or have a loved one who does. I recognize these behaviors as a form of coping, and have worked to help others turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones. In addition to a private practice, I have worked in a psychiatric unit, as a professor, and in hospice. Currently, I am working as a Veterinary Social Worker - assisting veterinarians, vet staff, and people with challenges they face working/living with the human-animal bond.

I embrace the philosophy that "family is whoever is at the dining room table". It doesn't matter the orientation, coping skills, mood issues or anything else at the table. You are there, and I see that. I want you to be comfortable, but also willing to challenge yourself to reach for new heights. I want you to be comfortable in knowing yourself and speaking your truth, but also be willing to challenge yourself to new heights. I look forward to walking with you on your journey to change.

Chris is a wonderful counselor and an even greater person! She is kind, compassionate, empathetic, knowledgeable, and very funny. I’ve never sought out therapy before but if even a fraction of therapists that exist in this world are anything like Chris, I would have looked a whole lot sooner. I’m so thankful to have been paired with such an incredibly thoughtful and helpful individual.
