About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania who is passionate about being a partner to others while they navigate their personal change process. People have the right to narrate their own life stories, and I look forward to helping them making their own choices and being present with them along the journey. Having worked in various settings with diverse populations, I've come to the conclusion all people experience challenges in their lives and I can them move forward positively.

As your counselor, I ensure we can meet each other where you are, in the day you are in. You are a valued individual, and often times this is undermined. I look forward to working with you while you make choices that will help you move in the direction you set for yourself. I have specific experience in all Mental Health issues form Depression and Anxiety, Substance Use Disorder, and Trauma. I am competent in a wide array of therapeutic techniques, including solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and EMDR. Every one of us experiences problems in our lives, but what we do about them is how we move forward. Imagine a life with the ability to view problems as opportunities for growth versus barriers that bring you down.

Asking for help can be a difficult decision, but if you are ready I am here to help you along the way.

I look forward to working with you.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Chris Edwards. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Chris is very comfortable to talk to. I feel that's so important. I take a lot from my sessions with him, and think he has alot of useful tools to offer. Chris is definitely someone you can be open and honest with and recieve zero judgment.

Chris clearly has a wide range of experience both in the field of therapy as well as in the world in general. Those qualities seem like all I could ask for in a therapist. He's also willing to keep it real with you when it's helpful, he won't let you devolve into delusions just to make you happy in the moment. If you are striving for long term success in growing yourself this is the guy.

Chris is a great therapist. He understood my needs early on and did a great job keeping me involved in my healing journey. His answers are thoughtful and educated, he is compassionate and understanding, but he also tells me what I need to work on. He created a safe space where I can truly express my feelings and be myself, and I feel like he understands me. I look forward to our weekly meetings, and some of the coping strategies that he taught me through our sessions will stay with me forever. I highly recommend working with him!

Great therapist. Listens and offers an array of coping skills and different ways to look at situations. Very helpful. I almost gave up on therapy but now I am optimistic about it.
