About me
Hello Better Help community! My name is Christina and I have been in the mental health field since 2012, providing outpatient therapy since 2014. I am fully licensed in North Carolina as a Clinical Social Worker. Prior to that I was practicing in Michigan, where I am originally from. I received my Masters degree from University of Southern California. My passion is to help empower people by assisting them in the process of overcoming personal barriers and discovering their own strengths so they can live a fulfilling and healthy life.
I have experience working with a variety of populations affected by various mental health and interpersonal challenges. I take an eclectic approach which is trauma-informed and strengths-based. I have worked with individuals, couples, families and groups. I facilitated several weekly groups which were psychoeducational in nature including trauma, depression, anxiety, psychosis, and co-occurring substance use and mental health. I have extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and incorporate many elements from Dialectal Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My goals are to assist people in developing skills to manage symptoms more effectively while shifting their focus to accentuate their strengths to help them achieve life goals. I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, mental health clinics, primary care settings, work in the community, as well as work with the court system on guardianship cases.
Many of my clients have a history of trauma which continues to negatively affect their sense of self-worth, their feelings of safety/security with others, and their outlook of their future. My therapeutic style often incorporates a trauma-informed perspective because past trauma often continues to negatively affect individual attachments later in life.
I feel so fortunate that we live in a world where technology allows us the opportunity to connect with individuals that may have been outside our reach before. I strive to provide the support and empathy to help empower others to make difficult but positive changes in their lives. You have already taken the first steps toward making changes in your life and I will be here to walk side-by-side with you on your personal journey.

Christina is supportive, approachable, and friendly. She listens and follows up by providing additional literature. She has educated me on different strategies that can be helpful.
Love her
very friendly and lets you talk so she can help you
Christina is a caring and thoughtful professional. She really listens, and provides great resources and guidance to help keep things in perspective and help me make progress.
Christina is a very supportive therapist with a lot of great advice. She listens and offers help as well as worksheets to take home and work on. We also communicate via messaging which is easy and her responses are timely. I would recommend Christina to a friend or family member.
Christina was non responsive on the app after our second therapy session. I was hopeful but I waited five days with no response. I had sent three messages during that time.
I can't ask for a better therapist than Christina!
I am extremely happy that I was matched with Christina. She is an excellent Therapist who uses multiple modalities to help with concepts and further understanding. She asks questions for understanding and listens and shows true concern.
I was almost willing to give up finding a therapist who suited my needs and I felt like I could connect with when I decided to give it one more try and that's when I met Christina. She has welcomed me, made me feel comfortable & most importantly she makes me feel like I'm not alone and that she is truly here to listen and help. She is genuine and very personable! I love working with her and I already feel like we are making improvements in the short time we've worked together!
As a chronic therapy seeker of therapy and interviewer of therapists, Christina really makes me feel seen, heard, gives me tangible tools to use in my every day life and we connect on many levels. She shares her wealth of knowledge with me and I deeply appreciate it. One of the questions on her survey asked me if I would recommend her to a friend and I would but I love her so much I almost don't want to share her with my friends! She is an incredible, thoughtful and compassionate person. I am looking forward to the progress I am going to make in my healing and development as a person.
Christina is amazing. She responds asap every time, supports and understands me.
Christina LaBond is a very caring listener. She also offer suggestions based on solid science viewpoints.
Starting therapy with Christina is literally the best, or AT LEAST definitely one of the top ~3, mental health decisions I’ve ever made in my life. She has helped me psychologically and emotionally cope with some of the most difficult periods in my life and has continuously recommended and guided me through decision making processes and mental health and growth techniques so that I may not only work through hard situations but grow as a person. I cannot recommend her enough. I’m frankly lucky to have made my way to betterhelp and to being matched with Christina as my therapist! Thank you!
She’s been great. Listens and makes you feel so comfortable, and gives great ideas for helping you with anything.
I am a new patient/client of hers. So far, so good. She is personable, warm, empathetic, and kind.
Christina is a wonderful, caring person.
