Christina Stuckey

About Me

Hi, my name is Christina and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My bachelor's degree is in psychology from Purdue University (Boiler up!) I then moved to Illinois to attend Loyola University Chicago for a master's in social work. I lived in Texas for a little while before returning to my home state of Indiana.

I have worked in hospitals, outpatient settings, an early intervention and prevention clinic, and most recently as a Behavioral Health Consultant. In this role I work with clients on integration of their mental health, social, environmental, and medical health. This has included management of anxiety, depression, smoking cessation, sleep hygiene, high blood pressure, and diabetes. I’ve worked with people as young as five years old, up to people in their 80s. At times I have done long term, psychodynamic therapy with folks, which consisted of weekly sessions lasting a few years. I also do shorter term therapy by utilizing a combination of mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) which is completed within a few weeks or months. Together my clients and I determine the length of time and frequency that we meet based on their goals and both of our availability.

My aim is to foster an environment where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, feelings, dreams, struggles, and successes. We will work to identify your goals and current barriers and together we’ll find healthy ways to cope with or remove those barriers. As we go along, I encourage you to let me know what does or does not work for you. I am always open to your feedback. After all, these are your therapy sessions, and I want them to be the best fit for you. If at any time you have questions regarding my approach, please don’t hesitate to ask. Remember, this is meant to be a collaborative experience, where you are the expert and my role is to offer support, guidance, and feedback.

I look forward to working with you!

Christina is a great listener and provides valuable feedback based on the concerns that I’ve provided. I so far have enjoyed my sessions with her and wish they could be longer.
