About me

I am a counsellor/psychotherapist working in Northern Ireland for the past 7 years. My background is in psychology and criminology. I have experience working in the charity sector and now own and run my own counselling and holistic therapies business. I really enjoy working with adults of all ages and have experience working with clients presenting with issues such as self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, self-harm and suicidal ideation. I particularly enjoy working with women suffering from low self-worth. I realise how daunting coming to counselling may be, and so I offer a warm, safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment where we can work together to improve your lifestyle and mental health.
My approach to helping you deal with your issues is by developing simple techniques that can be used in your ever-day life to improve your mindset and lifestyle. I use Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-focused and Somatic Therapy approaches. I have had great success in helping my clients identify and use problem-solving strategies as a way of moving forward. I believe in the counselling process and find it extremely rewarding work.
People come to counselling because they want 'change', together we can explore what this change may be and how best to achieve it in your life. I understand how difficult it may be to reach out for help, but you have now already taken the first brave step. If you believe I could help to empower you , please do not hesitate to contact me today

She’s amazing

Kind and firm, structured, asks great questions. Guides me in the ways that I need right now. I can tell she cares.

Christine has been a lovely therapist - she has been so kind and patient, but always knows when to be a bit more tough at times. She’s really helped me through my anxiety. And I’ve made 2 little steps forward through my trauma, the first in 7 years. She’s been very helpful.

Christine is a great therapist. Compassionate and understanding and has allowed me to have great trust in her to address current and past trauma. I look forward to continuing to work with Christine as she makes me feel at ease and understand my thoughts and feelings better.

Christine is really nice and understanding. We are still working on anxiety and OCD but the exercises she has given me has helped me to calm my anxiety down.
