C. Alan Bentley

About Me

Hello, my name is Alan Bentley, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma. I have over a decade of experience in the field of mental health including alcohol and drug counseling, inpatient crisis care, and school based services. I currently operate a private counseling practice in Tulsa where I work primarily with struggling adults addressing mood disorders, addictions, parenting issues, and those working through other adjustments in life.

My approach is to develop a relaxed, non-threatening, and non-clinical professional relationship with my clients where the relationship is the primary therapeutic tool for change. I recognize that the first step to a better life is often the most difficult. I help my clients with that first step and the path that follows. Together, we develop individualized strategies that bring insight, produce results, motivate, and lead to a more fulfilling life.

I completed my master's degree in counseling at Southern Nazarene University in 2008. I also have a Masters in Business Administration, which I utilize in my work with entrepreneurs and business professionals. Outside of my mental health career, I have also been a teacher, school counselor, and served on Active duty in the Army.

I look forward to working with you to help you take the steps you need in order to enjoy life more and move forward.
