Dr. Christopher Waters, Psychologist
About me
I am a clinical psychologist who is licensed in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. I have been practicing for 12 years. I have experience in helping clients with depression, stress and anxiety, codependency, and family conflicts. I specialize in treating trauma, dissociation, and abuse. I believe every person has unique ways to grow and heal so I try to tailor my treatment plan to your specific needs. Many therapists focus on learning general tools to help you change your thoughts and feelings, which is often helpful. However, my approach to therapy is to help you identify internal conflicts or traumas, and then practice ways to work through these difficulties. I use tools such as Gestalt Therapy, IFS, EMDR, Psychodynamic Therapy, and guided imagery. I also try to be gentle in my approach because people need a safe place to explore themselves. I know therapy can be challenging, but I also hope to make it rewarding and fun.

Dr. Waters is incredibly compassionate and capable to work through the topics I bring up with grace and clarity, he's really supporting me rewriting narratives that are not serving me anymore. His compassionate and professional approach makes him one of a kind. Absolutely love his work!
