I am a licensed clinical social worker in Utah. I received my master in social work degree from the University of Utah and have been counseling for about three years. While in school, I did a concentration in forensics and earned a certificate in criminology and corrections. My work so far has primarily been in the criminal justice system with adolescents and adults. While working in the criminal justice system, I have been able to work with clients who have a variety of concerns. These include addiction, grief and loss, anger management, conflict resolution, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and transitioning to life outside of the criminal justice system.
This experience is about your personal growth. My position in working with you is to find the areas in your life that are not working well and see how they can best be improved and encourage your further development in life’s challenges. My approach uses a combination of cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, strength-based, solution focused, and mindfulness. Making the decision to work with a therapist is not always an easy one. There are times it can feel uncomfortable to share your personal experiences with someone you have never met and I want to assure that I will not judge the choices you have made in your life or the feelings you have.
There will likely be times that this experience will be difficult and others where you will enjoy it. I hope you are able to embrace these opposing concepts through your journey, as it shows your growth and work being accomplished. While I am on this journey with you and am excited to begin getting to know you better, I want you to feel comfortable in talking with me. If you have any concerns about the therapeutic process, I encourage you to discuss them with me at any time in this journey. Again, I am excited to begin working with you and getting to know you better!

She’s amazing she’s helped me so much.
Chyrese is competent and caring. She provides me a lot of space to express my feelings and provides insights and tools to help me reframe and navigate my experience. I've really enjoyed my sessions with her so far and would highly recommend working with her.
After being through a few counselors I didn’t really feel like helped I found Chyrese she was caring concerning and listened actively, she is helping me work on something I have kept bottled and I finally understand it and am ready to move passed it I know 100% she can help me through it.
She gives some great advice.
Chyrese has been very helpful to me. I’ve been dealing with some recent traumas in my life which have caused me extreme anxiety, stress & fears. She had helped me talk about things, and listened. She’s a really good listener. She is focused on my goals to help me find ways to cope and heal. I had worked with a few therapists prior to Chyrese that weren’t a great fit, finding a therapist that fits who you are looking for makes a world of difference. I’m so happy to have Chyrese in my corner as I grow, heal and change.
Chyrese is kind and patient, she makes you feel comfortable right away and has a great written tone about her.
She truly is there and is respectful as well as a good listener and offers the best help she can
