Cicely Charlson

About Me

Hello, my name is Cicely Charlson, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oklahoma. I have 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in outpatient care as well as in-home. I have the most experience working with stress/anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma/abuse, anger management and life transitions. I have some experience with depression and mild autism. The modals of therapy I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma and Anger Management Therapy.

Life is an ongoing journey through different transitions and challenges. Sometimes we can manage on our own and other times we may need a little extra support. I want to help you navigate those challenging times in your life. We will work together so you can achieve more peace, mindfulness and clarity in decision making. My belief for counseling comes from my passion to help people grow because if you are not growing then you are not living; every living thing grows and matures.

I became a part of the mental health field because I grew up in an angry household where there was a lack of communication and healthy coping skills. Communication and healthy coping skills are some things I had to learn in order to achieve peace and mindfulness in my life. I want to partner with you so you will feel empowered to have that in your life as well.

Cicely has helped me through so much, I could say that me before therapy and after therapy are two different people. She made me challenge myself which I don’t do a lot but I did it and I faced my fears and now I am free of the despair and depression that once affected me so badly. 10/10
