About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of New York with close to 20 years of experience. I have provided various levels of care including direct-care, managed-care, telehealth counseling, crisis intervention, assessments, evaluations, treatment and discharge planning. I have worked with clients and provided therapeutic interventions with the goal of improving functioning and alleviating symptoms associated with various diagnosed behavioral health disorders. I have provided crisis intervention and psychoeducation to address specific issues that jeopardize a client's functioning.
My counseling style is to work with my clients from a strength perspective with an emphasis in using the motivational interviewing techniques. While the needs are of utmost importance, it is equally important to acknowledge and recognize strengths. The treatment is always tailored to provide assessment, intervention, support, empowerment and termination.
