About me

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Alabama with 5 years of professional work experience. My work experience is primarily with individuals facing substance abuse and addiction-related issues. I have worked in multiple levels of care, including inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, and outpatient therapy.

The longer I have been a therapist, the more my interest has expanded to relationship issues, both past and ongoing, as well as developing a stronger sense of self in a loud world. I believe that making the choice to seek out therapy is a big step, and every individual does it differently and with different goals. I am well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and more long-term psychodynamic approaches. I will work with you to determine which approach will be most effective and communicate with you about what that looks like at every step of the process so that you feel seen, heard, and respected.

Clayton does an excellent of actively listening and giving me the feedback I need. He challenges me to consider different viewpoints and provides detailed information when helping me better understand my concerns and trauma.
