Colette Langridge
About me
I am an experienced Counsellor, I qualified in 2012, We all encounter difficult problems and situations which can be confusing to work through alone. It can be helpful to share these with someone who will listen. The therapeutic relationship is unique because it offers a safe, non-judgmental place which is respectful, and we can work together to resolve those concerns. I specialise in trauma informed therapy, with over 6 years specific experience in Sexualised trauma and abuse, this role included providing one to one support for clients who have experienced various trauma, including relational trauma, sexual violence, childhood abuse, and other mental health problems, for example, anxiety, depression, PTSD, Complex PTSD and other mental health conditions.
I have an integrative approach to supporting clients in a way which is unique to their personal needs. Together we might draw upon other insights such as psychodynamic approaches exploring childhood, attachment related issues, acknowledging somatic symptoms (where memory may be held within the body) by resourcing some sensorimotor techniques, or mindfulness
Taking the first step to begin Counselling is a big decision to make and I hope that you will find the experience welcoming and positive. It is an opportunity to reflect on the past and create a positive new way of thinking which will enhance your wellbeing and improve your confidence and self esteem

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Colette Langridge. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I have only attended one session with Colette so far, but I found it extremely valuable. The session helped me reflect on my role as a carer and how this has influenced family dynamics. It also gave me insight into my own feelings of overwhelm and ways to manage them. Colette created a supportive and thoughtful space that allowed me to explore these issues with clarity and confidence. I would highly recommend Colette to anyone seeking guidance and understanding in challenging circumstances.

Colette is very astute and her advice and guidance has significantly improved my life during the biggest trauma that I have experienced. I am so glad that I found a therapist who has the skills and experience to support me so well.

Colette has been absolutely brilliant, we've only had a few sessions, but from day 1 she has laid out what we're going to go through. I could not ask for a more lovely, genuinely and caring person! We've already come up with many techniques to help me, and she is just overall such a lovely person, who I feel very lucky to have helping me through my journey ☺️

I have been following therapy with Colette for a few months now and am incredibly thankful for our sessions and for her guidance. She has helped me grow a lot as a person, work on myself, and help me change my perspective on myself and others. I like the way we work together with a mixture of some theory and the freedom to discuss any topics that pop up.

This is my 4th attempt at seeing a specialist, working out my problems - 1st time I learn useful tools to get through and it actually works. Now I can even train others around me who'd need it. Thanks.
