About me

Please call me Connie! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina, who understands the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I am client centered and will initially work to build rapport, so you develop trust in the therapy process. My style of therapy is always based on the unique needs of the client and is often an eclectic style that can include elements of Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Mindfulness therapy. I also utilize Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and trauma. I believe in the power of thoughts to drive emotional and behavioral responses, and I provide a safe place for clients to express these thoughts and feelings, while teaching coping skills to lessen symptoms.

I have worked with individuals presenting with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, womens issues, trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault and life transitions. I am also a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist in North Carolina and have helped many individuals with substance abuse issues.

I know that beginning therapy can be overwhelming. I look forward to working with you as you attain your goals and improve your overall functioning and mental health.

*Saturday morning appointments available.
*Due to state licensure restrictions, I can only accept clients who reside in North Carolina.
