About me

Hi, my name is Connie Owens and I am a licensed therapist with more than 20 years of experience in helping others. I utilize a Wholistic Approach because I fully understand that in order to heal the whole you, we must treat the whole you. In all facets, of therapy, we will address the 4 human interdependent parts; Mind, Body, Soul, and Spirit. I have experience in various areas from birth-death (or Hospice). I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist with several years of experience in helping others overcome trauma. And, it is hard these days not to mention Trauma without discussing Narcissistic Abuse, which I also specialize in. I have helped hundreds of women and men not only break free from Narcissistic Abuse but also prevent it from happening to them again in the future. Additionally, I also have many years of experience in Christian Counseling, Substance Use Disorders, Relationship Issues, Grief and Loss, Mental Health, Individual Therapy, and Group Therapy.

My approach is gentle, yet direct. I will always meet you where you are and respect all of your beliefs and values.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My overall treatment approach is a Wholistic Approach that utilizes CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, ACT, Schema Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing AKA an Eclectic Approach.

It takes courage to ask for help and commit to making the needed changes, to have the life you desire. I get that, and when you are ready I am here to empower you in your healing journey by supporting you and teaching you how to.

Amazing therapist, was by my side for months, also helped me with exercises I could do to better myself.

Connie is easy to schedule with and helped me control my panic attacks. I feel much better about my situation after 4 weeks of therapy with her.

Has very unrealistic therapy time sessions! She needs to work on having more open availability for sessions instead of 8:30 AM or before and then only like three in the afternoon it’s a major inconvenience

After only 1 session, I learned so much about myself! She’s very easy to talk to and doesn’t make me feel like my thoughts or feelings are wrong or unreasonable. I’m lucky to have been matched with her!

I have worked with Connie for only about 4 months and I've never felt more empowered and sure of myself than ever before after having worked with her. Having had challenges with past traumas affecting my day to day life was incredibly taxing on me, she has helped guide me step by step through everything I needed to address. It feels absolutely surreal at how much I was able to pinpoint and self-reflect on with her guidance alone. I wanted help, I wanted to get better, and she helped me get to a place where I'm comfortable moving forward without the sessions. She gives you so many tools to address every single grievance you have, whether it be through mind, body or soul. You have to want to do the work, but she will certainly help you with anything you feel that you need to work on. I'm incredibly fortunate that I took a chance to trust her with my story and trust her process. I'm so grateful for having worked with her.
