About me

Hi, my name is Connie Owens and I am a licensed therapist with more than 20 years of experience in helping others. I utilize a Wholistic Approach because I fully understand that in order to heal the whole you, we must treat the whole you. In all facets, of therapy, we will address the 4 human interdependent parts; Mind, Body, Soul, and Spirit. I have experience in various areas from birth-death (or Hospice). I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist with several years of experience in helping others overcome trauma. And, it is hard these days not to mention Trauma without discussing Narcissistic Abuse, which I also specialize in. I have helped hundreds of women and men not only break free from Narcissistic Abuse but also prevent it from happening to them again in the future. Additionally, I also have many years of experience in Christian Counseling, Substance Use Disorders, Relationship Issues, Grief and Loss, Mental Health, Individual Therapy, and Group Therapy.

My approach is gentle, yet direct. I will always meet you where you are and respect all of your beliefs and values.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My overall treatment approach is a Wholistic Approach that utilizes CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, ACT, Schema Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing AKA an Eclectic Approach.

It takes courage to ask for help and commit to making the needed changes, to have the life you desire. I get that, and when you are ready I am here to empower you in your healing journey by supporting you and teaching you how to.

Connie is absolutely incredible. She’s been my therapist for about a year now… And with her help, my life has changed tremendously. I love that she meets you where you are at… She can tackle things from a faith base perspective, a science based perspective, an emotional-based perspective… I’m not sure where this woman’s knowledge ends, but I certainly haven’t found the end of it yet. And with all the issues I have, it’s just incredible

I am so happy that I was matched with Connie from the beginning. She has been awesome in helping me to understand and process what I have been through. She's given me the space to get my feelings out, given me tools to manage in crisis, and provided knowledge to understand my situation and how to deal with it in the future. Thank you, Connie! <3

There is genuine care and concern for me as a client that I am guessing is unique in therapy. Connie has connected with me deeply while also remaining professional in client / therapist boundaries. My sense is this is a unique capacity among therapists. For those who feel deeply, who are deeply empathetic themselves and sensitive (- which are all positive attributes - they can also leave people somewhat vulnerable. Connie gets this - and will be there for you.
