About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. I have a background of working with clients of all ages who have depression, anxiety, substance abuse and trauma. I have worked in the mental health field for over six years. As a clinician, I prefer to use an integrative theoretical approach. I think that pulling from various theories is the most helpful. Over the years I have refined my knowledge in various areas of mental health. I spent several years working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar, and other mental health diagnosis. I am very knowledgeable in addiction and the struggles with maintaining sobriety. I spent several years working as a licensed chemical dependency counselor. I have worked with many transgender clients and am familiar with the transitioning process. I also have worked with many lesbian or gay clients. Recently, I have been working with children who have severe behavioral problems due to trauma. I am trained in TBRI and am able to provide new insight to parenting struggles. I have worked with many CPS cases and am skilled in foster care or adoption struggles. I have always believed that it is my purpose to make a difference in the world. I discovered that I was able to make that difference by helping one person at a time.

She is very sweet and kind and listens to you are I don't feel any judgement from her at all

My experience with her has been wonderful, especially after having to switch from one previous therapist, and then having the second one leave due to personal circumstances. I feel like I now have stability and continuity with therapy which is huge. Also I feel we connected very easily and I have learned a lot already.

This human made me not just believe in therapy, but also myself. She's incredibly patient, kind, understanding, and yet still able to keep me honest with and about myself. She has so much knowledge and so many tools that makes her ability to share those things so unique. She helps keep me focused on my goals in the most encouraging and inviting way possible. Her attention to detail and retention not just for the info shared but the emotions associated with them has made this process so much better and so much easier. I'd recommend her to my best friend and my worst enemy because of the impact she's had on my life and my journey.
