About Me
Hello, I am Dr. Corlissa Wilson, please feel free to call me Dr. C. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I am also a National Certified Counselor, National Certified School Counselor, and a Certified Trauma Specialist. I have been a school counselor for 28 years in both elementary and middle school settings. I have been in private practice and I taught classes for the University of Phoenix for 10 years. My approach to counseling is eclectic and I believe it is essential that we work together to promote change. I will work with you to help you identify issues and set goals. I use a variety of techniques and you will often have an assignment or an activity to complete between sessions. I love working with adults, adolescents, and children. I volunteer with several organizations and facilitate grief groups for adolescents and their parents.
I received my Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University and my BBA in Marketing, M.Ed. in Community Counseling and Ed.S. in School Counseling are all from the University of West Georgia. I am married to my best friend from high school and together we have a blended family. His son was two when we married, and we have a daughter together. Every person and every situation is different and unique and I approach each client with that in mind. It takes courage to take the first step towards change, I would love to support and work with you on this journey.

Very kind and helpful, yet she gets straight to the point. I felt supported and guided toward my major mental health goals.
Dr Wilson has provided me with a way to cope with my challenges and helped me learn to look at situations from different points of view. She listens and offers way to get through a particular challenge without making me feel incompetent.
Dr. Wilson is a passionate, thorough, trustworthy individual who hooked me from the first session which I chose to have via text. She listens and remembers your initial concerns and holds you accountable for the conclusions and solutions you deduce together. I’m sticking with Dr Wilson
In the short time I’ve worked with Dr. C, I feel cared for and understood. She listens and provides great feedback. Most importantly, I never feel judged. She’s really good at her job and I’m glad to have her help.
Dr. C is an amazing counselor who helped me cope through some recent personal traumas. Her support meant the world to me. She is always very responsive and validating and is willing to be flexible and work in the format that works best for you (messaging, video, or phone call).
It’s just important for someone to listen to me and help me clear my thoughts. Dr. C has done that from the first session. Even through text. I really appreciate her.
