Courtney Barnett, LCMHC
About me
No matter what life brings, YOU are worthy, YOU matter, and YOU can find healing as I commit to offer support, unconditional compassion, and a relentless desire to meet you where you are in life.
Welcome! My name is Courtney and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in the state of North Carolina. I have had over 9 years experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including community, schools, outpatient, in-home, and addictions. This simply means that I have had experience working with a broad range and severity of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with anxiety, depression, parenting/co-parenting, family/relationship conflicts, life transitions, adoption, complex trauma/abuse, and spiritual/faith based issues.
My dedication to the field of mental health is birthed from pure love and desire to help those in need. Unfortunately, there is still much stigma around mental health that leaves the process for getting support difficult. However, my hope is to educate and encourage healing through life’s challenges. My approach to therapy includes a collaborative client-centered approach tailored to fit the needs of each client. This may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness techniques, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and prayer when requested.
I feel honored to walk alongside you during this journey to self-discovery and healing. I truly believe that we can bloom or heal wherever we are planted in life. Do you believe?? I look forward to connecting with you soon to bloom.
