Courtney Bishop, LPC, LCPC
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Missouri and Illinois. I have over 5 years of experience working in the Mental Health field. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including LGBTQIA+ issues, addiction, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and parenting problems. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I treat the person, not the diagnosis. My approach is based on Narrative Theory but integrates other modalities as needed in each individual situation. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment focused on empowering you to be able to navigate life's inevitable challenges with confidence.
I look forward to connecting with you!

Courtney is an amazing counselor. Regardless of personal views around faith/religion, sexuality, politics, and the like which may or may not come up inevitably in your work, she is always respectful, empathetic, and willing to learn and challenge when needed. She is well-read in psychological theories and practice and is able to speak to the issues you're going through very succinctly. She's a kind soul with plenty to offer professionally; she is fun, personable, and serious about your health.
