Courtney Clark, LPC
About me
My name is Courtney Clark and I'm a licensed counselor in the state of Tennessee. I've worked with all age groups with almost nine years of experience. I worked for seven years with the geriatric population using Cognitive Behavioral approaches to help with grief, loss, depression, and anxiety. In a small community based practice, I was able to work with teens and young adults with a focus on trauma, self-worth issues, as well as depression and anxiety. My recent work has been with those suffering from substance use. Together we use mindfulness and other forms of Dialectal Behavior Therapy to create balance and coping skills.
I believe the client is the leader in this relationship. Together, we will work at a comfortable pace. I have a warm approach to breaking down emotional walls so that healing emerges from a positive mindset. We will work on goals, solutions, and positive changes for a more balanced life . I like to use Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical behavioral therapy, and Solutions Focused therapy to improve all areas of the mind, body and spirit connection.
Making the decision to attend therapy is not easy. You should be very proud of this first step in healing and growth. I would love the opportunity to work with you creating balance, peace, and positive mental health.

Matching with Courtney on betterhelp is one of the best blessings of the last year for me. She has been a key factor in helping me maintain my sanity over the last several months while both managing past traumas while helping me navigate current ones - in a constantly unchanging and uncertain world. Investing in myself for one hour a week is helping me be more successful in area of my life, and I’m so thankful.
