About Me

Hello, my name is Courtney but I go by CC.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. I have been in the field for 4+ years working with clients in various fields including; crisis counseling, in-home therapy, family therapy, hospitalization, and foster care. In all those fields, I have primarily worked with clients who have suffered from depression, anxiety, mood disorders, conduct disorders, co-occurring disorders, personality disorders, family conflict, and many more. Those are big ways of saying that I have worked with a wide range of problems and a range of client populations.

I am an eclectic counselor who believes that every client is different and deserves a unique treatment plan that is created together. I will work diligently alongside you, creating a treatment plan that will help you reach your goals in counseling. I also deem confidentiality most important and will always protect your rights in our counseling relationship. Seeking out counseling can often feel scary and overwhelming and my goal is to help you feel comfortable, accepted, and cared for. Not only is it my job to help others, but it has been a passion engraved in me since I was a kid.

Other than confidentiality, i believe that listening to my clients makes the most difference. The last thing a hurting person needs is another person giving them advice. I focus on listening to my clients and hear their needs and wants. Once I have grasped the issues at hand, together we will work on bringing you to a healthier place where you feel peace. If you are wanting to be heard and understood than I am the counselor for you; so go ahead, take this next step with me and let's begin the journey of becoming the you that you want to be!

Courtney has been so helpful. I’m new to BetterHelp and so far she is very supportive and understanding while I unload all my baggage.

I began working with Courtney during a time when I was very anxious, overwhelmed, stressed, and needing someone to help me work through the chaos in my mind. Courtney was so empathetic, understanding, and non-judgmental, and encouraged me to let go of things that were no longer serving me. Courtney always checked in to see how I was doing if I hadn't been messaging her and that meant a lot to me. I felt respected, heard, and validated. I would recommend her to anyone.

Courtney has been very supportive and helpful during this very difficult time. I really appreciate that she would check in with me on a regular basis to see how I was doing, that really helped not feel like I was on my own through this trail.

I "met" Courtney on here when I was dealing with bad anxiety on a consistent basis for the first time in my life and she has been an incredible help these last few months. Very understanding and helpful without criticizing or judging. I would definitely recommend her if you are new to this group and need help.

I met Courtney when I was at a pretty low place, feeling stuck trying to fix everything on my own. Since talking to her I've felt more confident and hopeful in my day to day life. She doesn't judge and she's always there with a different perspective, advice, or the right questions to get me thinking.

Always attentive and there to listen. Offer methods and techniques to help you deal with whatever may be going on in your life. Quick to respond and to check up if she hasn’t heard from you. Highly recommend her.
