Cynthia Harford, LPC
About me
I am a licensed therapist (WV and VA), with over 20 years of experience working with individuals navigating life's challenges. I've had the opportunity to work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, compassion fatigue, grief, trauma, and ADHD. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, or simply ready for a change, you don't have to work through it alone.
My approach is warm, practical, and solution-focused. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood, without judgement. Together, we'll explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build tools to manage difficult emotions, and strengthen the parts of you that are already resilient and capable.
Therapy with me is not about "fixing" you- it's about helping you better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
If you're ready to begin, I look forward to connecting with you.

Cynthia has been such a steady and supportive presence in my life. She’s patient, compassionate, and always makes me feel heard and understood. Through our sessions, she’s given me practical tools that have helped me navigate some really difficult times. I’m so grateful for her guidance and the safe space she creates to grow and heal.

Cynthia is a careful listener and has a welcoming warm personality. She is nonjudgmental but still provides critical feedback on request. She also points out things I fail to see on my journey and points out when I fail to be consistent with my own goals. I like that she holds me accountable but is extremely pleasant and caring about how she does that.

Cynthia is so very easy to speak with. I like the fact that she gives me examples using “real-life coping skills” for some of the issues.

Cynthia is by FAR one of the kindest, sweetest, most caring people I’ve ever had the pleasure speaking with. I have come a long way from where I was and I credit most of that to how Cynthia has been professional while also being a person who has shared her own experiences with me. She is an amazing therapist and an even better human being!!!
