I am a licensed clinical social worker in both NYS and in Hawai'i, and have been in practice since 2007. I specialize in Polyvagal (integration of neuroscience and trauma-responsive approaches) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe that good therapy is about empowering you to change how your mind and body experience, interpret, and express the impact of stress, toxic stress, and trauma, on a neuropsychological level. Therapy is hard work, but I will be your guide throughout this process of change.

Cynthia is next level, the best therapist I have ever been too. And I've seen a lot of therapists! She goes way beyond traditional therapy with her knowledge of the trauma response and pharmacology and how our nervous system responds to stress and fear. She's empathetic and informed, and understands the deeper level issues that impact mood disorders. I'd highly recommend Cynthia!!!

I've been working with Cynthia over the past three years. She has helped me immensely in my mental health journey. I feel validated and understood every session we have together. Cynthia always offers very insightful advice. I feel as if I have developed a deeper understanding of myself working with Cynthia. I have worked with many therapists throughout my lifetime but have made leaps and bounds of progress under Cynthia's care.
