About me
Greetings!
My name is Dakota and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas, and I’ve been helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges for the past decade. I specialize in supporting those struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, OCD, phobias, and self-esteem issues. No matter what brings you here, I want you to know that you don’t have to go through it alone.
I truly believe that you are the expert of your own story. You have strengths, resilience, and untapped potential that we can build upon together. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward healing and growth. I like to describe the process of counseling to my clients from the beginning of our therapy journey like this. "You are the captain of your life and therapy ship, think of me as your first mate." My goal is to help guide and steer your bearings as needed but, ultimately you are in the driver's seat and in control of how your outcomes in life will be as we work together to establish a therapeutic alliance.
Starting therapy takes courage, and I applaud you for taking this important step. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just need a little extra support, I’m here to walk alongside you at your pace.

Dakota is a very patient and understanding therapist I enjoy his engagement and personal life experiences that are relatable to me as an individual who needed someone with his characteristics and intelligence to feel welcome enough to open up to about my own personal struggles, I look forward to the path he is walking me through as I journey my way into a better future for myself, my wife, my family and my coworkers. I would encourage any age group and person with struggles to reach out to him as he will make you feel like very much like you’ve made the best decision with him as your therapist.

Keeps things fun but also addresses your needs on why you’re taking the steps to better yourself. Has multiple ways to help relax and lets you steer on which direction you would like to go.

Working with Dakota has been such an impactful experience for my life. He is patient, kind, and very knowledgeable on a multitude of things, and always knows how to navigate me through any challenges I am having. Whether it is stressful family issues, work place challenges, or struggles with my anxiety. I can really see the difference in myself since starting therapy with him, and I have accumulated multiple coping strategies that have really changed my life. He has been encouraging and inspires me to want to do the work to see the improvement. This has been the most positive therapy experience I have had. He is amazing!
