About me

I have worked with victims of violent crime, domestic violence, sexual assault, PTSD and related issues for most of my professional life. I work from a strengths perspective with all clients, with treatment plans that are tailored to each client‘s specific needs.

I believe that the human spirit is very strong, and those who desire to have positive change in their life, are capable of making extraordinary positive changes with professional support and guidance. I utilize a variety of treatment theories/models, ranging from Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, Solution Oriented, Psychoanalytic among several others.

I have served as a NASW member and state chapter board member. I am licensed in both the State of New Mexico and Illinois, and completed a Master of Social Work Degree in Clinical Practice as well as a Doctor of Social Work. I have taught clinical courses part time for both bachelor and masters programs at two state universities, for several years. I am also an ordained minister and nationally certified CISM responder through ICISF for groups, individuals, public safety personnel, and children.
