About Me

Hello, and thank you for your interest in my services. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have worked with a wide variety of clients dealing with an array of issues, from the very severe to the more common. I care a great deal about what I do, and for my clients, because I've always valued helping others and making the world a better place, which I feel I can do through my work as a counselor.

If you've been dealing with stress or anxiety, depression, or anger on your own with limited success, you've taken a big step just by considering how counseling might help you. If you've been dealing with conflict with friends, family, or your significant other, and you don't know what to do, counseling can help you by giving you a neutral perspective. If you've found your self-esteem lacking, or you just don't feel like you're progressing towards your goals or dreams, counseling can help you to find the structure that you need to be more successful. And, if you've noticed addictions of any kind, be they chemical or emotional, a counselor can help you work towards greater freedom and independence.

My name is Dan, and I hope you'll consider contacting me, and allowing me to try to help you work towards your goals. Even if we ultimately decide that I'm not the right counselor for you, this may be an important step towards finding the help that you need.

Dan makes good suggestions that I can follow through on. He gives me positive feedback when I tell him about my successes, and gives me further suggestions when I am struggling. I never feel blamed or faulted in what he says to me. He is also very patient in waiting for my replies when they are slow in coming, and prompts me in a kind way if he doesn’t hear from me in a few days.

I was initially very skeptical about all of this coming into it and being online was deeply concerning for me. Dan pretty quickly alleviated my concerns and is starting to help me identify some of the key issues that are holding me back. I'm really excited to see where he can take me because I've never felt like I connected to someone before and I really think we're starting to make a breakthrough, even though it's still early days. I would 100% recommend Dan and better help if you're suffering from stress or anxiety. There's no judgement here and it's great to have control over your own sessions.

If you are looking for a nerdy counselor, look no further. Dan has made several nerd references that always leaves a smile on my face. He is fixated on transformers and Optimus Prime. In a world of Decepticons, Dan is a true autobot.

Dan Cooper helped neutralize my anxiety when it was acting up from family stress. He was the reality check I needed when my negative thoughts were spiraling downwards. Dan always made me feel comfortable and was easy to talk to. He replied to me on time and had video chats about once a week. I would highly recommend Dan to anyone who is struggling with anxiety/depression.

Dan was quick to grasp what was going on with me which was helpful in getting us off to a good start. He responds to my notes quickly with understanding and suggestions. That makes me hopeful that this experience will provide some measure of “gain” - and hope is already an improvement from the dark place where I was a few weeks ago.
