Hello. My name is Dan. I've been a counselor for about ten years now, and about two of those being online here. I've worked with clients with a wide variety of issues, from chronic mental illness, to substance abuse and addiction, to more common degrees of anxiety, depression, life issues, and relationship problems. While it can be difficult, in advance, to know who you're going to work well with, I would say that I have the most success with client who can identify their issues and appreciate having someone in their corner to talk with and identify things to try to work on and change. I am very open minded and try to be very accepting and supportive of whatever is important to my clients. So, if you've been thinking that life could be better, and you just want someone to try to help you get there, feel free to contact me, and we'll see what we can do.

I've enjoyed working with Dan. He was very supportive and responded often enough to chat messages to. He asks directed questions which makes you think.
Thus far, working with Dan Cooper has been a positive experience for me. I have been struggling a lot and I definitely had my doubts about online counseling. He put a lot of my fears to rest and has been helping me breathe. I wasn't really sure what to expect but I am accepting the days as they come. He is straightforward, receptive, helpful, and makes me feel like there's someone listening. He even rembers my best friend's name so that is a plus. I look forward to working with him more in the future.
Dan makes good suggestions that I can follow through on. He gives me positive feedback when I tell him about my successes, and gives me further suggestions when I am struggling. I never feel blamed or faulted in what he says to me. He is also very patient in waiting for my replies when they are slow in coming, and prompts me in a kind way if he doesn’t hear from me in a few days.
I was initially very skeptical about all of this coming into it and being online was deeply concerning for me. Dan pretty quickly alleviated my concerns and is starting to help me identify some of the key issues that are holding me back. I'm really excited to see where he can take me because I've never felt like I connected to someone before and I really think we're starting to make a breakthrough, even though it's still early days. I would 100% recommend Dan and better help if you're suffering from stress or anxiety. There's no judgement here and it's great to have control over your own sessions.
Dan is a great counselor, he’s great with young adults too. He helped me a lot with my problems. He has a great sense of humor.
Dan listened to my problem, wasn’t judgmental, and gave sound practical advice. I almost lost hope on this app but he restored it and I highly recommend him.

He has an amazing sense of humor and overall outlook on life that makes every session a very pleasant experience. I would totally recommend him if you suffer from depression and/or bpd.
Dan is really understanding and has really great viewpoints. He sees everything from an objective standpoint which can help with relationships and any other concerns you may have. He has helped me better my communication skills and open my eyes within the very short amount of time I’ve had with him. He is nonjudgmental and considerate.
Dan is great. Check Dan out... he’s an excellent support with a realistic perspective that was very beneficial to my personal growth.
If you are looking for a nerdy counselor, look no further. Dan has made several nerd references that always leaves a smile on my face. He is fixated on transformers and Optimus Prime. In a world of Decepticons, Dan is a true autobot.
Dan Cooper helped neutralize my anxiety when it was acting up from family stress. He was the reality check I needed when my negative thoughts were spiraling downwards. Dan always made me feel comfortable and was easy to talk to. He replied to me on time and had video chats about once a week. I would highly recommend Dan to anyone who is struggling with anxiety/depression.

I appreciate Dr. Cooper's insight and expertise. He has been helping me with my anxiety and self doubt issues and it has been very beneficial to me to have him available.
Dan was quick to grasp what was going on with me which was helpful in getting us off to a good start. He responds to my notes quickly with understanding and suggestions. That makes me hopeful that this experience will provide some measure of “gain” - and hope is already an improvement from the dark place where I was a few weeks ago.
I feel valued and respected.
Dan was very helpful and responded quickly to my messaging. He helped me realize things that I wasn't able to see on my own.
Dan has been a great help. He respects me and I feel comfortable talking to him about a range of issues. I would recommend him.
