Dana Rivera, LCSW
About me
Hi there, I am Dana Rivera (she/her) and I shifted my clinical path after nearly a decade of silently navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, postpartum and identity shifts. This journey was deeply personal and, for a long time, private. Fear, grief, and the pressure to appear “okay” kept me silent. I often felt isolated in a world that seemed to effortlessly grow and thrive families while I quietly struggled. It wasn’t until I sought the support of my own therapist that I began to feel a shift - a realization that my professional calling was expanding to encompass a broader vision.
I hold space for women, birthing people, and LGBTQ+ families through fertility journeys, pregnancy loss, postpartum shifts, and the evolving terrain of midlife. This includes navigating identity changes, relationship transitions, caregiving fatigue, queer family building, overwhelm, and the quiet, powerful process of rediscovering who you are- on your terms.
Some sessions will be filled with insight and clarity. Others may feel tender, heavy, or unfinished. But together, we’ll create a space that honors the full spectrum of your experience—where growth isn’t forced, but gently unfolds. Whether we’re processing, grieving, or laughing through the hardest parts, I’ll walk alongside you with care and compassion.
