Daniel Hutton Liens
About me
I'm Daniel, a counsellor from Hampshire, England. I have been working as a therapist for three years, working with a diverse client base and range of presenting issues including depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties and more. I consider anxiety, gender and sexuality, and trauma to be my areas of most experience.
My therapeutic style is considered integrative, but is closest to person-centred. This means our sessions may look conversational rather than medical, and I will provide an environment that feels safe, non-judgemental and open to dialogue. Therapy may be challenging at times, and I aim to make those challenges manageable. This approach is integrated with a more exploratory style where appropriate, psychodynamic work specifically, and the more direct style of CBT if that is your preference.
Reaching out for support can feel like a difficult step, so I am happy to work with you to make that step as comfortable as possible.

I have found Daniel a sound listener as a therapist to all that I am going through & how he reflect back to me. I find that very helpful.

Daniel has been a safe haven for me. I feel like I could tell him anything and he wouldn't judge or tell me what to do.
Instead, he would help me see a clearer and bigger picture by reflecting, asking questions, and challenging my thoughts as needed.
I strongly encourage anyone interested in working with him to do so.
