About me

I am licensed in the state of Maryland with 10 years of clinical mental health counseling work experience. As a faith-based and bilingual counselor with a strong background in educational psychology; I believe in empowering my clients with the necessary coping skills and tools to help them deal effectively with different life changes or unexpected life crises. It is a privilege to use my unique approach in assisting you to cope with issues of depression, anxiety, PTSD, family crisis, marital conflict, trauma and other related challenges; to include issues of healthy sexuality and sexual addictions from both a faith-based and non-faith-based perspective. My theoretical approach to counseling integrates the basic tenets of educational psychology and Adlerian therapy, while remaining open to other modalities of treatment that would best suit the client. Furthermore, as a parent with children with special needs, I also am available to counsel parents/families with special needs children.
I am completely fluent in both English and Spanish and can offer counseling in either one of these languages. I am also available to offer faith-based counseling at the client's discretion.
