I am a dual licensed mental health counselor with licenses in both substance-abuse and mental health disorders. In my time as a counselor I have worked with a broad client base, including people struggling with major depressive disorder, bi-polar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, relationship conflicts both professional and personal, family problems, and substance abuse disorders. I have been greatly honored to walk with some very brave and inspiring people and look forward to working to more people who are ready to make real changes to their lives.
My approach looks to first establish an environment of unconditional positive regard in which a person can feel safe to bring out the most authentic parts of their lives and make meaning out their struggles. I do this by combining cognitive behavioral theories, emotion focused treatment, and mindfulness. Each person I connect with will have a personalized approach that will help them find the places in his/her life that can bring about a better quality of living.

Daniel and I started working together about 1 month in and I really value Daniel's ability to listen and offer practical advice on how to handle life challenges in all different capacities. I would highly recommend working with Daniel.
Daniel listens intently and reassures how you feel. He provides several ways to walk through challenging situations rather than one way.
Daniel is super helpful and understanding. He provides great, valuable feedback with realistic, attainable goals. I feel like he takes the time to understand my position or my situation and helps me work through it, providing me with new tools to carry with me for future situations.

Daniel is an excellent therapist. He does much more than just "listen" - he checks in, offers a variety of tools to help, and adjusts his style to the needs of the patient and the situation. He has a down-to-earth approach that makes you feel comfortable and capable of learning and improving.

His methods are definitely helping me to improve, and I'm very glad to have found Daniel as a therapist.
Practical, logical and empathetic. Helps you make your own decisions by working through all the moving parts to get you to a peaceful resolution of issues without judgement.
I really appreciated my work with Daniel. He is friendly and easy to talk to which is helpful for counseling sessions. He also gives great tips and is clear and helpful with his communication style. I appreciate how he managed to call out things I might not have been aware of myself in ways that never came off as accusatory or blaming, only insightful and helpful. I’ve grown a lot through talking with him and appreciate his expertise and insights.

I've only had 2 visits with Dr. Schroeder but both visits have been great. Each time I talk with him I feel very comfortable opening up and he has had some great ideas to help me.
Daniel is helpful and always responsive. He reaches out to ask how you're doing.
Offers help and advice using sessions and messaging, any communication means available.
He has been very patient in waiting for me to reschedule. It’s been sort of a crisis laden season for my family. I appreciate his willingness to hang in there!
Daniel helped me a lot with getting through panic attacks and periods of high anxiety in 2020. Very helpful.

I've had 3 or 4 sessions with Daniel, and each one has been incredibly productive. He has helped me reframe the way I think in specific cases, and I can tell it's helped me with my anxiety and feelings of isolation. His check-ins are thoughtful, and they also act as a reminder to continue to work on the skills/solutions he helps you develop. Overall, he's an amazing counselor.

Daniel Schroeder is kind, empathic, professional, and really good at his job. His counsel has been helpful with ever session.
I have only had two sessions with Daniel but both sessions I have ended with a positive attitude. I have been given homework that is really benefiting my everyday life.
I started working with Dan a few months ago when my marriage was falling apart and I just wasn't handling things well. I felt lost when trying to make decisions and navigate it all. He provided an objective assessment and has since helped me reclaim a sense of agency in my own life. Dan is an empathetic counselor with a pragmatic approach, and I highly recommend his services.
Daniel has been really helpful so far in my journey, even after only one session. He’s encouraging me to simplify my approach to all of the stuff I’m dealing with and I’m already noticing a difference in how I feel every day. My problems are not gone, or even completely solved but I’m more confident that there are solutions to them because of working with Daniel. I’m used to being so overwhelmed with everything I deal with in life that I find it challenging to focus or narrow down mental and emotional health priorities. With more clear directives and ideas about how I can see and do things, I feel more equipped to de clutter and organize my mind. Thanks Daniel!!
Wonderful provider who brings perspective and physiological response education to mental health care.
Daniel has been awesome. I felt comfortable sharing with him immediately, as he worked right out the gate to find common ground with me. He is timely, helpful, and compassionate. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat.
Honestly Mr. Schroeder has been very responsive. I’m not sure if online counseling works for me. I need to be called out on my crap.
