I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina and have worked with clients and families in capacities that span from basic case management to residential treatment for nearly two decades. I have extensive experience supporting clients who are working through addiction (including process addictions such as gambling or sex addiction), parents in need of support/parenting skills (including behavior management training), and co-occurring mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADD/ADHD, and other clinical diagnoses. I also enjoy working with clients who have experienced trauma, anger management, adjustment disorders, and overcoming unhealthy experiences during childhood. I call these clients survivors.
I am not your best fit for personality disorders, domestic violence, or schizophrenia, but if you are looking for support in these areas and are unable to find a good match, I would be happy to work with you to find a clinician whose expertise fit your needs.
My approach to counseling is client-centered. This means the way you and I work to achieve your goals may be very different from the way I approach my work with another client. You will play a critical role in the identification of your treatment goals and we will work together to achieve the outcomes you desire to live a more healthy fulfilling life. This does not mean, however, that I'm always going to say what you want to hear. My work with clients is strength-based, but candid. I'm a straight shooter about things I feel may sabotage your ability to meet your goals. My goal is to help you be happier, healthier, and more fulfilled. At times this means confronting aspects of your life that are barriers to you meeting those goals.
My work with clients is evidence-based. This means I utilize techniques and processes that are demonstrated through research to be effective at helping clients work through concerns similar to yours. These techniques may come from a combination of counseling theories such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Person-Centered approaches. Being an evidence-based practitioner also means that I know my strengths and limitations as a therapist, and if your needs or goals are better suited to a different professional, I will work with you to find a clinician who is best able to help you reach your goals.
I'm so grateful that you're considering me for your therapist. I'm excited to learn more about how I can help you achieve your goals!

I was a little apprehensive when I signed up, but I couldn't ask for a better therapist. Danielle understands exactly where I am and provides timely and insightful feedback. She is also good at helping me craft actionable solutions so that I can be a happier, more productive person. I highly recommend her, and I am so glad she is working with Betterhelp!
I can’t say enough good things about this service and my counselor. She is so aligned with my issues and treatment.
Danielle has helped me deal with horrible tragedies that recently happened in my family. I have no words for how wonderful and attentive she has been.
I have really enjoyed working with Danielle so far. She is so kind and so caring and I feel so lucky to have been matched with her. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for me thanks to Danielle.
Danielle is a true godsend. I downloaded this app out of desperation and was matched up with her. She immediately dove right in to help me with my issues I was having both personally and with my loved ones. I went in with the thought that I would try it out for the free trial portion and that would be that. Danielle's guidance and understanding made me at peace during some really rough times and I am so grateful that I had her to talk to. She has a perfect balance to her about being there when you need her but also giving you your space if she feels you need one (almost like the perfect server: not too on top of you but you don't have to flag them down either! Haha)
Like I said, she's a godsend and I'm glad to work with her.
Danielle has been a great help to me- she has helped me feel believed and listened to, and is giving me tools to move forward and manage my anxiety.
Danielle has been very insightful, receptive and helpful. I recommend her to anyone whose needs match with her specialization.
I'm lucky to have Danielle as my counselor.
I don't know if I got lucky or what, but I couldn't have been matched with a more suitable counselor. She picked up on my "voice" quickly and has become a very valuable part of my progress in a short time. She's assertive and has the resources and skills to back it and that is just what I need! I couldn't be more pleased with our sessions.
Danielle is amazing in every way. She is super prompt with her responses and she always gives great feedback. Danielle is extremely knowledgable in her field of work and provided me with excellent resources with my mental health concerns. She is caring and is willing to work with your flow and your schedule. I would recommend her to anyone!!
Danielle has been phenomenal! She is quick to respond and has so much fresh insight. I am loving working with her.
