About me

Hello! My name is Danielle Diegue and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in New York. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Albany and received my master's degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I've been working in mental health since 2017 and have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of clients from all walks of life. I have experience conducting individual, couples, and group therapy. I have worked with clients that struggled with diagnosis that ranged from anxiety/depression to schizophrenia to substance use disorders. I have also worked with clients who have struggled with stress management, self-esteem, and family/work issues. I like to take a client-center approach to therapy and I utilize different techniques including, but not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and goal setting. Ultimately my goal is to create a safe and empathic space for clients to share and work through their concerns.

Danielle has been the best therapist I have ever worked with. She is a great listener, is non-judgemental in all aspects (vocally, physically) and has really helped me progress.

Her feedback and guidance has always been spot on and she is able to articulate what I'm feeling. I look forward to chatting with her every week. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for some help.
