About me

Hello! I’m so thrilled that you have taken that sometimes difficult first step in reaching out for support. I firmly believe that in order to get the most benefit out of therapy, you need to find a provider that you will feel comfortable with and understood by. I would love to be considered as your therapist to help you in your journey of improvement and growth, so to help you determine if I would be a compatible therapist for you, I have included additional information below regarding my experience and therapy style.

I have been a social worker for five years and have experience working with people from all different backgrounds who are struggling with a wide variety of challenges. Much of my experience has been working with individuals who are struggling with self harming behaviors, anxiety, ADHD symptoms, trauma, intimate relationships, family conflict, and LGBTQ+ issues. I tend to work from a very client-centered and strengths based lens and want to work with you to help you grow in whatever capacity you feel is needed. The feedback that I receive from clients is that they find me to be caring and nonjudgmental while being supportive in an honest, yet direct way. Whether you are new to the world of therapy or have a lot of experience working with a therapist, my goal is to walk alongside you to help you feel empowered in making changes to improve your overall quality of life. My services are what you need them to be, whether that’s to be an unbiased ear to listen to you, to help guide you in learning new skills, or to help you gain new perspectives of situations in your life.

I can provide services through whatever method is most comfortable for you: phone call, video call, or chat. I do find that it is helpful initially to participate in video sessions together to build rapport, but I am happy to accommodate whatever method is best for you. Most of my availability is in the morning and some afternoons as well as some weekends, but I do check messages daily. If you have questions about additional availability not shown on my schedule, please reach out!

Choosing a practitioner is a deeply personal choice, and I encourage you to think about what you most hope to gain from therapy. If you feel that, based on my experience and therapeutic style, I would be a compatible therapist for you, I would be honored to work with you!

Darbi is the best. She's always listened to me and provided me support in ways I didn't even know I needed.

Darbi is amazing! She gave me so many tools to get me "back on track" and was attentive, kind, and genuinely interested in helping me better myself and where I was at. THANK YOU to Darbi for everything!
