Daria Willoughby, LCSW-C
About me
Hi,
I am an LCSW-C, licensed in the state of Maryland with 5 years of experience working as a Behavioral Health counselor and crisis therapist and Certified in DBT. I have worked with a wide range of concerns including Mental health diagnosis, anxiety, Anger management, with a focus in Domestic Violence, Motivational interviewing, Crisis intervention and Solution based therapy.
My counseling style is relaxed and direct. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, not believing in stigmatizing labels. There is a need for me to build rapport with each individual served to better assist in understanding the process we are embarking on. There must be a mutual understanding as my goal is for every client to be a part of their wellness journey. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, Crisis intervention, psychodynamic, holistic counseling, and Cognitive-behavioral counseling.
The journey to change is not easy but doing it alone only makes it more difficult. If you will allow me to, we can take this journey through the stages of change together.
I look forward to working with you!

Daria Willoughby has been my counselor for almost 3 years and I couldn’t ask for any one better. She is empathetic, smart, and understanding. She’s the type of counselor that it always rooting for you and always in your corner when you need her. But her strongest attribute as a counselor is how welcoming she is. For someone that was not used to online therapy she was so easy to talk to and truly helped me explore better opportunities for myself, and overall, helped me become stronger mentally.

The best therapist I’ve ever had. I’ve made so much progress in the last year. She didn’t give up on me. She knew the person I could become before I saw it in myself.
