About me

I am a professional counselor licensed in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. My knowledge base includes several years of training in trauma-informed care, crisis management, and mental health first-aid.

My most commonly used therapy techniques include CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and Person-Centered approaches. At my core, I am a teacher, motivator, and relator. My approach to counseling is to honor, respect, and serve my clients by maintaining an environment that makes them feel heard, and valued . I believe that confronting our feelings, thoughts, and behaviors can be challenging. My philosophy is that self-improvement is DIFFICULT BUT DOABLE!

Darin takes it all in and then provides these take home “pearls of wisdom” that help guide you through. He listens to your story but knows how to dive deeper to get a sense of the “whole picture” and how you can work together to learn from your experiences , easily identify similar people/personalities in the future and better approach a similar situation next time.

Darin was my first therapist. I didn’t expect things to roll well. Extremely easy to talk to and relate with. Offered new perspectives and information to absorb. Highly recommended.
