David Bradshaw, LMHC
About me
I'm David Bradshaw, I am from Washington State and I have lived here my whole life. I have my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I have been practicing since October 2018. I was born in 1990 and I currently live in Birch Bay WA. I'm an avid reader, and I also enjoy Yoga, Meditation, and Martial Arts. I'm a bit of a nerd as well and I build my own desktop computers. I also enjoy camping and backpacking. I would say the Pasayten Wilderness Area is one of my happy places. I started out my career working in Corrections and Law Enforcement for five years before becoming a Mental Health Counselor. As a mental health counselor, I started my career working with teenagers in an intensive wraparound treatment program, where I would also work with the whole family. I am a true general practitioner and have experience treating clients with nearly every type of mental health concern.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for David Bradshaw. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
He is caring, patient, and not afraid to point out things you may miss in your personal life, even if it's a difficult subject to discuss. He's always polite and intuitive about that, never pushing you further than you're ready to go at the moment. I've learned a lot from him, and now have a much clearer picture of how to move forward with my therapy needs and personal life.

David Bradshaw is a great therapist, his work history has really given him a wonderful amount of experience, insight, and understanding of the very tough and traumatic lives some people lead and have lead. As well as the different cultural expectations those people may experience. He is a very open minded person and has a very approachable energy. I would recommend him to anyone that has had a tough life and needs a therapist to be understanding &mindful of their cultural upbringing. Needless to say he is the best for those who are really "broken" inside.

I enjoy the ease of talking through chat and for my own time. With my busy schedule this makes it super easy and convenient for me.

We have had only one session, but the back and forth writing on the website - being able to introduce myself and my life ahead of the first session and between sessions is invaluable.
David asks the right questions - to the point. I know he is actively listening because of those questions - and the process continues between sessions with very timely responses to my long missives about my crazy life.
David has had personal experience with substance abuse and I immediately felt like we were on the same page. I felt comfortable enough to drop my Zoom background and just be me, in my house.
I am looking forward to our next session.
