I have been a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists since 1985, and was recently named as a Clinical Fellow. I am licensed in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor and in the State of Louisiana as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. For the past twelve years, I have worked as a Military and Family Life Counselor serving the Service Members and their Families of the United States Army and Air Force.
I have extensive experience in working with couples in the building of strong and healthy relationships, as well as, working with individuals in the rebuilding of their lives following the end of a marriage. I have also worked with law enforcement, correctional officers, and other emergency service workers in the management of stressful situations and anger management issues. In addition, I have experience working with individuals who are going through the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a career and other traumatic experiences.
I believe in the value of trust and respect in human relationships, and also feel that is necessary in the building of a therapeutic relationship between the therapist and their client. I would feel honored to work with you, as you seek to discover a path for personal meaning in your own life.
