About me

I am a Licensed Clinic Social Worker in New York with over 13 years of experience in the mental health profession and almost 20 years working in the field of social services and substance abuse/addiction treatment. In my years of experience, both in the public and private sector, I have had the privilege to work with individuals from all walks of life and have seen firsthand the positive impact that mental health services can have in the lives of people. During my clinical practice I have provided individual, group, and family therapy to diverse, multicultural, and often underserved populations that have been affected by a wide range of mental health issues. I have worked collaboratively with individuals that have struggled with symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorder, anger management, interpersonal conflict, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse. This experience has provided me with a wealth of knowledge in the areas of best practice around cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, client centered therapy, harm reduction, and crisis intervention techniques. In all my client encounters I have strived to be respectful, honest, non-judgmental, and to foster and promote a safe space where individuals can be free to express themselves. In the spirit of empowerment and self-determination, I have worked with and helped hundreds of individuals successfully cope with and manage mental health related conflicts.

From a young age I knew that my calling was to be in the profession of helping people. Through my professional and personal growth, I have come to acquire a profound understanding of the importance of mental health services in our society. The mental health and wellbeing of our community is of major concern and interest to me and is the reason why I chose to make it my life’s work. I very much look forward to continuing this important work and being able to reach more people in need of support on this platform.

I have had 3 sessions so far with David. I feel he is starting to get a real sense of where my head is at when I say I have so many tabs open at the same time.

He has been amazing at listening to me and letting me get out what might be consuming my thoughts for that day if my anxiety was increased during that time. I look forward to see what tools and conversations he can provide me in the next 30 days.
