I am a Dual Diagnosis Counselor independently licensed in treating mental health and substance abuse. My licensure in addiction/substance abuse is temporarily on hold at my request. I have over twenty years experience as a face to face therapist. I am trained in a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral, solution focused, Trauma informed Care, Reality therapy, Existentialism, and Motivational Interviewing. I also blend in a Didactic (teaching) approach on a variety of issues such as communication skills, conflict resolution, stress reduction, anxiety reduction, self esteem assessment and tools for healthier relationships. I believe the relationship between counselor and client is extremely important. I work to create safe space where you feel valued, heard, respect and supported. Open and honest dialogue is a must. I do not judge but see us as a team working together. My goal is to aid you on a journey of self discovery, healing and growth. You have made the most important step on this journey, you reached out for help. This is a brave step, one I am glad you have decided to take. I look forward to working with you.

I worked with Debbie for a little over a year. Looking back I am so amazed and proud of the changes I see in my internal monologue and self confidence. Debbie kept me laughing through sessions while we investigated past experiences I never thought I could share. This was my first experience with a therapist and it has been an invaluable experience. Thank you Debbie!

Debbie is the first therapist I've ever had. She has exceeded my expectations in a therapist by showing empathy, active listening, and 100% support. Although I have not met her in person, I have complete trust in Debbie. I feel that she really listens closely to my rambling and does everything she can to connect the dots, allowing her to figure out the root causes of any pain I've been experiencing to find the best solution.
I have felt significantly better since starting to see Debbie.
