Deborah Osborn, LCSW, LICSW
Thankyou for reading my profile. It is difficult to convey my work in few paragraphs. I have been counseling since 1998 when I completed my first master's degree in Counseling. I later earned a second masters in Clinical Social Work.
I understand that change is not easy and I know that no single approach to change works for everyone. With this in mind, I am willing to draw upon a number of modalities. I use techniques from mindfulness and gratitude along with traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Reality Therapy to develop a plan of growth.
I am always in partnership, working alongside the client and family as we move towards health. I believe that the client is the authority or expert with regard to their goals and needs. I follow the client's lead in developing those goals while offering my expertise in creating a successful plan. I also believe that focusing on a whole person strength-based relationship contributes to a solid base of trust and acceptance. With this solid therapeutic relationship established, the client can feel safe to be authentic and vulnerable.
Additional areas of focus: Addictions, LGBT, Grief, Parenting issues, Anger management, Self esteem, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder, Depression, Coping with life changes, ADHD, Abandonment, Adoption and Foster Care, Aging and Geriatric Issues, Blended Family Issues, Communication Problems, Control Issues, Coping with Natural or Human-Caused Disaster, Divorce and Separation, Domestic Violence, Emptiness, Family of Origin Issues, Family Problems, Forgiveness, Guilt and Shame, Impulsivity, Isolation/Loneliness, Jealousy, Midlife Crisis, Military and Veterans Issues, Obsessions, Compulsions, and OCD, Panic Disorder and Panic Attacks, Phobias, Postpartum Depression, Post-traumatic Stress, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Sexual Assault and Abuse, Social Anxiety and Phobia, Young Adult Issues

Good listener, Calm, Very Nice, Likes to push you in to directions that help you grow, is very understanding of issues and emotions. Lovely woman, very motherly in essence. I like her a-lot in just a short time!

I am so grateful to have met this wonderful person through this app. The ways she helped me while I was in a dark space with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy was mind blowing and so rewarding. Much appreciated.

I honestly don't know where I would be without Deb. After a life changing event in my marriage I found her to be such a good listener which was beyond comforting to me. I seem to always benefit from her well thought out nuggets of wisdom. I appreciate her support as I navigate this next chapter in my life.

Very pleasant to speak with! I love that she is down to earth and doesn’t try to “speak down” to me.
As reluctant as I was to start therapy, I feel very blessed to have found Deborah - she is more like talking to a friend, so that for the most part, it doesn’t FEEL like therapy!

After my first session with Deborah , I felt like a huge weight I've been carrying for almost 30 years has been lifted off my shoulders. I've been feeling great and been able to manage my issues so far. She's paid attention to all the details about my life and to my journal. Deborah asked the right questions and was able to pinpoint the issues, and then given me the direction to manage my issues. She's highly recommended as a licensed therapist.
