About me

First, I want to welcome you and congratulate you for your courage and resolve to live a more fulfilling life. It's a step that many never dare to make. It also takes wisdom to ask for support. And, I promise you I will do my best to give you the support you need.
I graduated with a master's in science in Counseling from the California State University of Sacramento (2011), and I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT.) I am also a Certified Coach for the Psychology of Eating. I currently have a private practice, and I am working as a peer counselor in a local non-profit agency helping disadvantaged individuals with mental illness and addiction problems. My life journey showed me how challenging and grief-filled it may be to be a caregiver, as I was a caregiver to my late husband who suffered from Alzheimer's, and how essential it is to be able to have wisdom to take care of oneself while taking care of someone else. It also taught me how to skillfully navigate food-related issues, and how to stop binge eating, overeating and chronic dieting and learn how to nourish myself with food. Also, I've learned how to become an empowered women while not giving up on my femininity, and I love supporting other women who want travel the same path. And, lastly, I am deeply passionate in supporting men and teach both men and women how to celebrate each other. As my journey continues to teach me, I look forward to offering you my compassion, presence and skill to make your journey fruitful.

I believe that the needs to be heard and seen, and to be supported, are basic human needs. I approach my clients with that in my mind and in my heart. In my client I see a human being that longs to stop suffering, and foremost, to stop suffering alone. Sharing ourselves opens the doors to our innate capacity to heal and be whole again. I love providing the space for that.
My approach helps people heal at the levels of the cognition, emotion and the body. In my own journey toward wholeness, I came to realization that, in order to feel healed and healthy, we need to understand our minds, be connected to our emotions, and be deeply in touch with our body wisdom.

Foremost, I connect to my clients with my heart and my intuition. I feel who they are, what they long for, and by which archetypes are they moved. I've learned numerous techniques to help people feel clear and grounded in their minds, be in touch with their deeper desires, befriend their emotional richness, and listen to their bodies. I also have a rich assortment of strategies and tools that help people reach their goals efficiently. After achieving my master's degree and learning mainstream therapy approaches, I immersed myself in studying Hakomi therapy, a body-centered, mindfulness based approach with profound healing capacity. I also studied the Internal Family Systems therapy, or so called, "parts work" which is a cutting-edge approach to healing many of our parts that are intimately related to the issues of anxiety, depression, relationships, attachment, and others. I am very familiar with Somatic Experiencing, a therapeutic approach by Peter Levine, which has been proven to help heal trauma at the deepest level. I believe that unhealed trauma and attachment issues are underlying to many psychological problems.
I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you!
