Welcome! My name is Debbie and I am a licensed professional therapist. I have been in practice for 5 years and am currently in private practice in Delaware. I graduated with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Seton Hall University in 2014. I have worked with adults and children in both individual and group settings. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, stress and anxiety, grief and loss, coping with life changes, relationship issues, OCD and ADHD. My style of counseling is warm, interactive and compassionate. I consider my sessions a "no judgement" zone. I strive to create a trusted rapport with my clients and feel that a successful therapeutic relationship is based on mutual respect. While my therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral, Humanistic and Solution Focused therapy, I will tailor my approach to meet your personal needs. I believe that change happens when a person is ready to embrace it. It is a brave step to seek counseling and I am here to support you through this journey of self discovery.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 grown children. My hobbies include reading, needlepoint, knitting hats for the NICU and when time allows, a good "binge watch" on Netflix!
I look forward to working with you!

I never had therapist sessions before, so I have no baseline to compare. So I'm just writing it based on my personal experiense: Debra helped me to sort out my issues by gently pushing me towards proper questions and without implying answers to them. I also needed someone to listen to me, she dealt with that perfectly. She returned me ability to work and study, and in fact I feel that I don't need assistance for quite a while already. Thank you, Debra!

Although brief, I enjoyed having Debra had a therapist. She makes it easy to talk to and her friendly but professional mannerism helped me build a rapport with only one phone call! Highly suggest Debra!

Debra was very attentive she always let me lead therapy sessions in what I wanted to talk about. She would provide helpful information when dealing with depression and anxiety through worksheets. I would highly recommend anyone looking into better help that she is a wonderful choice 10/10

I can feel and sense Debra’s passion and expertise for me and the issues I brought up, especially one serious family conflict, which help me understand more about further action I might take.
I really appreciate her listening and swift reply whenever I need.
