About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with 22 years of experience working in the areas of long-term care, sexual assault, and currently in the medical field. My education includes a Master’s degree from California State University, Long Beach, Advanced Practice Palliative Care Certificate for Social Workers, certified sexual assault counselor, and certified to provide clinical supervision to ASW and LCSWs.

I have had the opportunity to work and learn from diverse individuals, families, and groups. These include aging and geriatric issues, caregiver issues and stress, hospice, and end-of-life needs. I also am experienced to help people who have survived sexual assault and abuse, physical trauma and/or emotional abuse.

I have been told by my peers and clients that I have a supportive and non-judgmental style that encourages them to “open up.” They also benefit from my honesty and guidance. My counseling style is to accompany my clients by assisting you to learn more about yourself and what is important to you. My approach combines Solution Focused, Narrative, and Motivational Interviewing therapies which allow me to provide treatment that is comprehensive and tailored to your specific needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

Please contact me via message to inquire about my availability. I will reply to your message within 24 hours during the week. If a message is sent over the weekend I will answer the following Monday.

I look forward to meeting and working with you!

Delia has been a great counselor and her strength lies in her exceptional listening abilities and tactful responses. She asks great questions that really challenge me to think about the core of my concerns, but in a very supportive and gentle way. I never feel judged by her but always leave our sessions feeling affirmed and at least 10% more hopeful. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great therapist.

I have always been a skeptic of therapy, but her expertise and guidance has helped me greatly. I am only a few sessions in and I have no doubt that I will be able to reach the growth that I have been searching for.
